/ Practical information

As one of our services, we offer a Welcome Meeting after arrival in Norway. In the meeting we will present a lot of practical information about settling in Norway.

However, here is an overview of the most important contact points.

If you need urgent help, call the following emergency numbers:
Ambulance 113
Police 112
Fire 110

If you need to contact the police but the matter is not urgent, please use the telephone number 02800.

The emergency room is open outside normal opening hours such as evenings, weekends and public holidays. The telephone number is 116 117.

Everyone who is registered as a resident in Norway is entitled to a regular doctor. The doctor will be assigned to you after you have received your personal identity number in Norway. If you need to talk to a doctor before you have received your social security number, please use the emergency room.

Sometimes it can be difficult to tell the emergency center where you are located. We can recommend everyone to download the app called Help 113. The supplier is Norwegian Air Ambulance. The app can be used to contact the ambulance, police or fire brigade. When using the app, the emergency center will automatically receive your location.
